Founded by Christine Holcomb, Portraits by Christine celebrates twenty-four years in business. Over this time, Christine has photographed hundreds of high school seniors, many families, children, and pets. Some of her notable clients include: Cindy Crawford, Jessica Simpson, Mandy Moore, Shaggy, 98 Degrees, Walter Cronkite, Itzah Perlman, and American Idol's Denise Jackson.

She was commissioned to photograph Wisconsin Governors Tommy Thompson and Jim Doyle for their official office portraits. These portraits now hang proudly in the Governor's Mansion.

Christine earned a Bachelor's degree in Art Education from the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire. She furthered her studies with a Master's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Ten years spent teaching art and photography classes at an area high school puts her at ease with students. This experience allows Christine to be on the top of today's trends and capture unique images that convey the unique personality of each client.

Portraits by Christine is located on the east side of Madison Wisconsin by the banks of the Yahara River. The studio is known for it's incredible outdoor backgrounds. A classic stone bridge and a beautiful rock-lined river are just some of the the outdoor landscapes available.

Christine's extensive art background allows her to create original backgrounds that are always changing. This evolution lends a freshness to the portraits she is able to produce. In the past 24 years, Christine has designed the studios of other professional photographers.

Christine's life is filled with four wonderful kids, who all graduated from Madison East High School. They all now attend the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. When Christine isn't working of spending time with her family, she swimming, biking, or running. Proud to be an Ironman Wisconsin finisher in 2004 and an Ironman Arizona finisher in 2006, she continues to set her goals on improving as a triathlete.
